January: new year, lots going on.

My highlights for this month, and what’s coming up next:

  • I posted 25,000 words across my projects, including my blogs The Schizophrenia Diaries and Service Slave Secrets, and my fiction projects: the I’ll Give You series (lesbian M/s poly, consensual slave trade, and BDSM community oriented erotica), the Contrivance series (death game creators, dystopian mentor/protege), and the In Blood, Our Legacy series (lesbian M/s poly, sadomasochism magic, Harvard Law rivals turned pro Dom business partners).
  • This included my new most popular blog post on Service Slave Secrets, “24/7 High Protocol: First Thing in the Morning“. (Thanks, everyone!)
  • Next month: hoping to post 25,000 words again. Also hoping to complete the I’ll Give You standalone mini alternate universe spinoff, “Let’s Not Be Star Crossed Lovers“. (Summary: Clara, in a complicated but loving new dynamic now, runs into a beloved ex Owner at a high protocol event, who once left her for her own good. But some things have changed, some haven’t, and not everything is a coincidence. Poly ensues.)

Other assorted updates from my life this month:

  • Celebrated New Year’s. Since my mom and I both have January birthdays, we gifted each other half of a “staycation” and took a few days off in a local hotel (using travel points). On that note, I turned twenty-four!
  • Read: Win Me Something by Kyle Lucia Wu, Contagious by Jonah Berger, and Catherine House by Elisabeth Thomas (a new favorite!). Also, several of the TED Talk books, and Wired, Food Network, Better Homes and Gardens, and Good Housekeeping magazines. So on.
  • I changed my handwriting. No longer illegible chicken scratch, I took up an architectural lettering based style.
  • Gave the tenants notice to vacate and will be selling our rental property to buy a newer build.
  • Added some yummy new recipes to my repertoire.
  • Did some fun crocheting, sewing, crafting, photography, and laminating. I’m learning how to sketch and doing a sketch a day, and loving it.
  • Added a few new services to my routine lists.
  • Did butler school coursework (the 400-Hour Private Residence Butler Online Course through the International Institute of Modern Butlers). Applied what I learned and am getting into housekeeping DIYs.
  • Studied for/currently passing practice tests for the HAM radio technician test. (Just need a good opportunity to take it.)
  • Made a barbed wire flogger and got to play with it. So much fun!
  • Practiced aerial silks and learned a few moves. It’s fun, creative, and a good workout.
  • Finally got to make the appointment at the DMV to get my driving permit and learn to drive, now that my health stuff is more sorted out.
  • Took a weekend vow of silence. Read more here.
  • Got a new desk when my old one gave out/made a few fun changes in my office.
  • Watched our little indoor garden grow, played with the kitties.
  • Did all of the usual slave/housewife routines.
  • Next month: Valentine’s Day and more.

Thanks for everything this month; have a happy, healthy, and safe February.
