Newsletter 5/31/23

May! A big month for me in certain ways. Also, where did it go?

  • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of writing for at least fifteen focused minutes daily. I didn’t post that much, but I made a lot of progress on some future updates (stay tuned!). I did post “Time, Nature, and Submission”.
  • Next month, I’m keeping my goal the same.
  • I taught one class this month: “Productivity for Service” for Pragmatic Kink. Thanks to everyone who came and the PK team as always.
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching “Professional Standards for Service” for PK on 6/6, and “Schizophrenia in the Scene” for House Exeter on 6/22.
  • We had two Las Vegas TNG events this month: two of our usual munches. Thanks to Mistress for playing backup host for the latter one.
  • Next month, we’ll have two of our usual munches on the 5th and 19th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.

Other updates from this month:

  • Read some great books. Favorites included Saving Time by Jenny Odell and Beyond the Wand by Tom Felton.
  • Still been working on a bunch of really important medical stuff.
  • Spent some really great time with family and friends, including some time in nature and a great Mother’s Day weekend with the best mom in the world.
  • Made some good progress on the butler school course. Officially working on Module 12!

Newsletter 4/30/23

  • I taught two classes this month: “Butler’s Books, S-Type Files, and Other Service Records” for Pragmatic Kink, and “Anorexia in the Scene” (for the first time) for THRIVE Conference (also by Pragmatic Kink). I also spoke on two panels for THRIVE and had a great time going to other classes!
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching “Productivity for Service” for Pragmatic Kink on 5/9. See you there!
  • We had three Las Vegas TNG events this month: two of our usual munches, with help from an awesome guest host on the 10th, and a bootblacking skillshare.
  • Next month, we’ll have two of our usual munches on the 8th and 22nd, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.

Other updates from this month:

  • Did all of the usual household duties and such.
  • Read some great books. Shoutout to The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. The world needs more books like these!
  • Been working on a bunch of really important medical stuff.
  • Spent an amazing week in the greater Boston area!
  • Spent some really great time with family and friends.

Newsletter 3/31/23

  • Writing wise, for various reasons, I only posted about 5,000 words across my projects this month (including updates for May We Burn in Heaven and To Be a Deviser).
  • Next month, I’m mixing up my writing goal in a way I have a lot of hope for, and aiming to do a fifteen minute word war daily. (I can write around 1,000 words in that time if I’m on a roll.)
  • SlaveClass: I taught three classes this month: “Anticipatory Service” for Pragmatic Kink, “Schizophrenia in the Scene” for Leather Leadership Conference (LLC), and “Contract Systems”. I was so excited to officially teach my first in person class at LLC, attend my first in person conference, and go to Georgia for the first time!
  • Next month: I’ll be teaching “Butler’s Books, S-Type Files, and Other Service Records” for Pragmatic Kink on 4/4, and “Anorexia in the Scene” for THRIVE Conference on 4/ 30 (possibly premiering this as a new regular class, possibly a one-time deal). I’ll also be speaking on two panels. See you there! (Go register for THRIVE!)
  • We had three Las Vegas TNG events this month: two of our usual munches, and a play party. Thanks to everyone who attended!
  • Next month: two of our usual munches (10th and 24th), with help from an awesome guest host on the 10th, and a bootblacking skillshare on the 2nd, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.

  • Went to some fun kink events. (Have I mentioned LLC?)
  • Read some great books. Favorites included Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, and Anti Diet by Christy Harrison (life-changing! Go read it! Read it now!)
  • Spent some fun time with family and friends.
  • Attended to lots of important medical stuff all around, but especially my mental health.
  • Did all of the usual slave duties.
  • Had some fun play times, including playing with new toys.
  • Did a bit of witchcraft.
  • Did a bit of sewing, some photography and drawing, some cooking and baking, general crafting.

  • New Year’s! Spent some nice time with family and friends. I turned twenty-five! My mom had a birthday, too.
  • Did all of the usual routines, and have been tweaking my schedule a little.
  • Read some great books! Elena Vanishing and Almost Anorexic were probably my favorites.
  • Did some awesome play.
  • Did lots of baking and cooking, including two new recipes: vegan chocolate chip cookies, and skillet brownies (including a gluten-free version), yum.
  • Did some fun crafting.
  • Got more into witchcraft, especially tarot and dream work.

End of December, and end of the year!

My highlights for this month, and what’s coming up next:

  • SlaveClass: I taught four classes this month: “How to Learn Protocols” for Wicked Grounds, a revamped version of “Drink Services”, “Anticipatory Service” for House Exeter (my first class with them), and my brand new class, “Contract Systems”. Thanks to everyone who came, and the teams who made it happen!
  • Next month: I’ll be teaching “Professional Standards for Service” for Wicked Grounds on 1/4, “How to Learn Protocols” for House of Kush (my first class with them) on 1/12, and “How to Learn Protocols” again for CONsolation on 1/28. See you there!
  • We had two Las Vegas TNG events this month: one of our usual munches and a movie night (thanks to our guest host!). And thanks to everyone who joined us, as well.

Other updates from this month:

  • Went on a very fun trip to LA with Mistress.
  • Went to some awesome virtual classes.
  • Did a lot of reading. Recently loved the Death-Cast series by Adam Silvera, the Inheritance Games series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.
  • Spent a lot of time with family and friends and had great times for the holidays. Highlights included some of my in laws coming to town, a painting night at Pinot’s Palette with Mistress and my mom, and a family holiday party.
  • Did lots of awesome play.
  • Did some yummy baking (including new recipes) and lots of crafting, especially for gifting.

November: exciting times!

My highlights for this month, and what’s coming up next:

  • Writing wise, I’m focusing on my fiction right now, and posted updates for I’ll Give You Book 3 and Contrivance Book 2.
  • Next month: hoping to post at least 10,000 words across my projects.
  • SlaveClass: I taught four classes this month: “Service Schedules” for Wicked Grounds, “Butler’s Books, S-Type Files, and Other Service Records” for CONsolation, “Productivity for Service” for TES, and “Schizophrenia in the Scene” for my first Kink Between the Lines Conference. Thanks to everyone who came, and the teams who made it happen!
  • Next month: I’ll be teaching “How to Learn Protocols” for Wicked Grounds on 12/5, “Drink Services” on 12/11, “Anticipatory Service” for House Exeter on 12/14 (my first class with them), and launching my new class, “Contract Systems”, on 12/22. I’ve also been sending out lots of applications to venues and conferences, so fingers crossed.
  • We had two Las Vegas TNG events this month: one of our usual munches and a fire massage class/play party. Thanks to everyone who joined us, and especially to our fire massage instructor!
  • Next month: one of our usual munches (12/27) and a movie night on 12/6 (big shout out to our guest host), if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area (and a regular, for movie night). In the new year, we’ll officially be having our usual park munches every other Monday at 7PM.

Other updates from this month:

  • Had some really great social times with family and friends, including kink events and Thanksgiving.
  • Spent some time perfecting tricks for aerial silks/jump rope and getting some exercise.
  • We celebrated our five year anniversary!
  • Did some fun crafting and cooking.
  • Did all of the usual slave duties, lots of organizing, and lots of fun play.
  • Read some great books, including Blink by Malcolm Gladwell and Greywaren by Maggie Stiefvater among others.

October: lots of different things going on!

My highlights for this month, and what’s coming up next:

  • I posted about 15,000 words across my projects.
  • Favorite post of the month: “Why We Need Diverse Stories (A Letter I Wrote in a Dream)” (for The Schizophrenia Diaries).
  • Speaking of which: I published my eighth book! The Schizophrenia Diaries is now available in paperback and Kindle form. Thanks to everyone who’s already grabbed a copy.
  • Next month: I’m still finalizing my writing goal for next month, but definitely excited for some pieces/chapters coming up.
  • SlaveClass: I taught six classes this month: Service Schedules and Professional Standards for Service for Service Oriented Conference, 24/7 High Protocol Dynamics for Wicked Grounds, How to Learn Protocols, Productivity for Service for SADEclasses, and 24/7 High Protocol Dynamics again. Thanks to everyone who came, everyone who helped Service Oriented Conference happen, the SADE team, and the Wicked Grounds team as always!
  • Next month: I’ll be teaching Service Schedules for Wicked Grounds on 11/2, Butler’s Books, S-Type Files, and Other Service Records for CONsolation on 11/5, Productivity for Service for TES on 11/8, and Schizophrenia in the Scene for Kink Between the Lines Conference on 11/12. See you there!
  • We had three Las Vegas TNG events this month: two of our usual munches and a Halloween play party. We had a lot of fun this month and I was excited to reconnect with friends and meet a lot of new people; thanks to everyone who joined us!
  • Next month: one of our usual munches (11/21) and a fire massage class/play party (11/17), if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area (and a regular, for the class/party). Looking forward to learning more about fire massage from our awesome volunteer instructor and having more fun times at TNG.

Other updates from this month:

  • Had some really great social times with family and friends.
  • We went camping! Twice! Mistress, a friend, and I went up to a dispersed camping area in Mack Canyon (NV) first for one night, then for two. The second time, my mom and her dog even came up to visit our campsite for an afternoon. No WiFi, no cellular, just trees, tents, and the campfire.
  • Did some fun crafting and cooking.
  • Still having fun revisiting some past works for editing and annotating.
  • Did all of the usual slave duties.
  • Read some great books. This month, I really loved the Tiny Pretty Things series by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton.

September: overall, a much needed slightly quieter month.

My highlights for this month, and what’s coming up next:

  • I took September off from events, but got a lot of exciting stuff scheduled coming up.
  • Next month: I’ll be teaching Service Schedules and Professional Standards for Service for Service Oriented Conference on 10/1, 24/7 High Protocol Dynamics for Wicked Grounds on 10/6, How to Learn Protocols on 10/15, Productivity for Service for SADEclasses on 10/18, and 24/7 High Protocol Dynamics again on 10/29.   • For Las Vegas TNG: an awesome guest host stepped up for September, and there were three of the usual munches this month.
  • Next month: we have two of our usual munches (the 3rd and 17th) and a Halloween play party on 10/27, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area (and a regular, for the party). Should be super fun!

Other updates from this month:

  • Celebrated several birthdays in the family! And had many fun social times overall.
  • Did butler school coursework.
  • Did a lot of baking, including yummy new recipes, and crafting. Got into resin casting for kink and other things, and making sugar scrubs for family and friends.
    • Working on perfecting some aerial silk tricks. Super fun, great workout.
    • Did all of the usual slave duties, and some really fun play.
    • Maintained my Little Free Library! It’s doing really well.
  • Did a lot of reading. This month, I especially loved Hurts So Good (Leigh Cowart), The Honeys (Ryan La Sala), and Life By Committee (Corey Ann Haydu).
    • Still having fun revisiting and editing some past works. I’m also creating one annotated copy of Contrivance just for fun.

August: wild month! Here we go.

My highlights for this month, and what’s coming up next:

  • I posted early access pieces for all of my projects.
  • I published my seventh book! Service Slave Secrets: Volume Two is now available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback form.
  • I started posting To Be a Deviser, the sequel to Contrivance.
  • Next month (edited): I’m mixing up my goals a little, but, more writing!
  • For SlaveClass, I taught two classes this month: Professional Standards for Service, and Service Schedules. Also, Mistress and I chatted about Living 24/7 High Protocol M/s with the CONsolation server. Thanks to everyone who came, and the CONsolation team for having us!
  • Next month: I’m taking September off from events, but I’ve been scheduling lots of fun stuff for October and beyond. In the meantime, find tickets for future events and class recordings on SlaveClass.
  • For Las Vegas TNG: two TNG munches this month—super fun!
  • Next month: as mentioned, I’m taking September off from events, but we have an awesome guest host who stepped up for September, so there will be three of the usual munches on the 5th, 12th, and and 19th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.

  • Spent a lot of meaningful time with family and friends, including a visit with a friend from out of town.
  • Have continued to donate plasma.
  • I started a Little Free Library! It’s up and running and doing well.
  • Got some important medical stuff and things in the house sorted out.
  • Went to Arizona for a day trip to scope out an area for investing in our next rental property, and play tourist.
  • Did a vow of silence day.
  • Worked on butler school coursework, including making some really yummy recipes.
  • Read a lot. Special mention to The Bridge by Bill Konigsberg.
  • Still having fun revisiting and editing some past works.
  • Spent about a week in Boston by myself! Got to hit up a bunch of museums, bookstores, my old haunts, and more.
