Slightly belatedly, let’s talk about January! A mixed bag of a start to 2024, I did spend a lot of this month ill, but when I wasn’t:
- Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of fifteen focused minutes of writing per day. I posted over 11,000 words across my projects this month, including updates for We Are All That We Have Lost (a Contrivance prequel—one more update coming today), as well as Shards We Almost Lost (an alternate universe Contrivance companion), and An Ode to Broken Things (Pager Clips, Boots, Collars) on Service Slave Secrets.
- Next month: sticking to my fifteen focused minutes of writing per day goal.
- I taught two classes this month: “Contract Systems” and “Productivity for Service”. I also spoke alongside Joshua Tenpenny about service at the inaugural meeting of the international group M/s 301 – The Deeper Side. Thanks to everyone who came, and special thanks to the M/s 301 team!
- Next month, I’ll be teaching “Culinary Services” (revamped!) on 2/4 and “Tarot Reading as a Service” (new!) on 2/25. You’ll be able to find all the details here. See you there!
- We had two Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- Next month, I’ll be hosting two of our usual munches on the 12th and 26th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.
- As a volunteer for the Las Vegas region of National Novel Writing Month, I hosted two write-ins. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- Next month, I’ll be hosting two more write-ins on the 7th and 21st. If you happen to be a local participant, found out more here.
Other updates from this month:
- Went to some other fun events and generally went out and about/exploring a lot!
- Via a holiday gift from a friend, I’ve been learning about dip pens.
- I turned twenty-six! Had some other birthdays in the family as well.
- Back in my chess phase and have actually managed to win a few games.
- Got the family a MasterClass subscription and have been learning a lot.
- Planning lots of other exciting things coming up!
Thanks for everything this month; have a happy, healthy, and safe February!
