Newsletter 3/31/25

March: what a big month!

  • Writing wise, I set out to stick with my new goal of writing for one hour per day. Due to a lot of other exciting things going on, I changed my goal midmonth back to my usual forty-five minutes per day (minus a few travel days). I basically stuck to that, and posted over 14,000 words across my projects, including Act I of a three-part novelette, “What We’ve Almost Forgotten” and updates for Our Secrets and Our Silence (It All Became So Violent). Please let me know what you think in the comments sections of those works (and thank you to everyone who already has)!
  • Next month, I’ll stick with forty-five minutes per day. Keep up with my progress on TrackBear!
  • This month, I returned to the Leather Leadership Conference for my third year as a presenter, this time to Level Up in Los Angeles, CA. I taught “Creating Sensory Friendly Events” and “The Literal Servant Leader”, read my story “The Night That Clara Just Wanted to Sleep” at the Community Showcase while two incredible improv volunteers brought the house down, and was beyond honored to become the newest member of the Board of Directors of the LLC! Thank you to everyone who made this weekend so awesome. Here’s my photo diary from the conference.
  • This month, I was also incredibly honored to win a House Exeter 2024 Community Education/Top 5 Class Award for “Productivity for Service”. Thank you so much to all of the wonderful people involved!
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching “The Ups & Downs of Service in a 24/7 M/s Dynamic” virtually with Joshua Tenpenny for M/s 301 on 4/27. Join us!
  • We had one Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) event this month: one of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
  • In April, I’ll be hosting one of our usual munches on the twenty-first, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.
  • For the Neon Cactus Wordsmiths, I hosted two Discord write-ins this month. Thanks to everyone who attended!
  • Next month, I’ll be hosting two more Discord write-ins on the 2nd and sixteenth. I’m also going to start hosting a new monthly social, in person at my place on the third Friday evening of each month, starting April 18th.   • I read so many amazing books this month. Shoutout to Scythe by Neal Shusterman, How to Calm Your Mind by Chris Bailey, Everything Is Tuberculosis by John Green, Building a Non-Anxious Life by John Delony, and Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune. My goal is to spend at least fifteen minutes learning/reading every day. Keep up with my reading on StoryGraph!
  • In March, I also went to some awesome events and spent some great time with family and friends.

Newsletter 1/31/25

Happy New Year!

  • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of writing for forty-five minutes per day (with a few exceptions for travel/etc). I made two posts on Service Slave Secrets and there’s lots more in the works!
  • Next month: I’m going to take the first week of February to put the finishing touches on, type up, edit, format, and post more works I drafted in January. Then, I’ll be upping my goal to writing for one hour per day for the rest of February (so it’ll be like I wrote forty-five minutes per day for the whole month). Keep up with my progress on TrackBear!
    • We had one Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) event this month: one of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
    • In February, I’ll be hosting one of our usual munches on the 17th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.

    November: a great month!

    • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of writing for forty-five minutes per day. I posted “Six Near Misses (In 24/7 High Protocol)” (which hit Kinky and Popular on FetLife)! On Archive of Our Own, I posted updates for Our Secrets and Our Silence (It All Became So Violent) as well as To Be a Deviser, and a new little I’ll Give You companion (as a chapter of While the Lights Were Off).
    • Next month: sticking to writing for forty-five minutes per day. Keep up with my progress on TrackBear!
    • This month, I taught “Productivity for Service” for Wicked Grounds and presented at FLAIR! Thank you to everyone who attended and the teams who made these events happen!
    • In December, I’ll be launching my new class, “Creating a Slave Uniform” on 12/8. I’ll also be teaching “The Butler Book and Beyond” for House Exeter on 12/9.     • Went to several awesome events—munches, classes, play parties.
    • Did more crafting and baking, made some improvements in the house, and have been playing (and winning at) more chess.
    • It was Mistress’ birthday!
    • Made some good progress on the butler school course.
    • Did some really fun play! Here’s a video.
    • Made some important medical strides!
    • Enjoyed getting out a bit more in general, especially enjoying the cooler weather at parks, as well as dessert places, libraries, and bookstores.

    July: what a month!

    • Read some interesting books, including Polysecure by Jessica Fern, A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee, and All Girls by Emily Layden.
