May: busy month!

  • I taught two classes this month: “Productivity for Service” for House Exeter and “Schizophrenia in the Scene”. Thank you to everyone who attended, and to House Exeter as always!
  • In June, I’ll be teaching “Anticipatory Service/Leadership” for MAsT Laurel Women on 6/1, and “How to Learn Protocols” for Pragmatic Kink on 6/23. Both of these events are free and virtual. You can find all the details here. See you there!
  • We had five Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches, and, in collaboration with VegasToolbox, three classes: one by Charlie_Doll and two by DevynStone. Thanks to everyone who attended!

  • I got to spend Mother’s Day with the best mom in the world!
  • I read some amazing books. Favorites include An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson and Slow Productivity by Cal Newport.
  • I’ve been doing more crafting and baking!
  • Made some good progress on the Modern Butlers course, and finished the Learn in Public course from Verbal to Visual.

April: another big month for me!

  • I taught two classes this month: “How to Learn Protocols” for House Exeter and “The Butler Book and Beyond”. I was also on two panels at THRIVE. Thank you to everyone who attended, and to House Exeter and the Pragmatic Kink/THRIVE team as always!

Newsletter 3/31/24

March: a big month for me!

  • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of at least fifteen focused minutes of writing per day. This month, I primarily posted updates for We Are All That We Have Lost. I posted over 10,000 words across my projects this month.
  • Next month: it’s Camp National Novel Writing Month! I’m hoping for my eleventh win in writing over 50,000 words in a month.
  • I taught special versions of two of my classes this month: “Values Based Productivity for Leaders” and “Anticipatory Leadership” at Leather Leadership Conference (LLC) in Atlanta, Georgia. I also spoke on the Emergent Leaders panel. Thanks to everyone who made my second time presenting at LLC so amazing!
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching “How to Learn Protocols” for House Exeter on 4/8 and “The Butler Book and Beyond” on 4/14. Both of these events are free and virtual. (Thanks to House Exeter for having me back!) You can find all the details here. See you there!

  • We went on a two-week road trip and saw half of the states in the continental US! My wife and I drove from Las Vegas to Atlanta for LLC and then to New Jersey to visit my in laws and then back home. Such an amazing trip.
  • My best friend came to stay with us for a week! Among other fun things, we hiked the beautiful Calico Tanks Trail.
  • Read some wonderful books! One of my favorites was Happier at Home by Gretchen Rubin.

Newsletter 2/29/24

February! So much is in the works. What happened this month?

  • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of fifteen focused minutes of writing per day. This month, I primarily posted updates for We Are All That We Have Lost. I posted about 13,000 words across my projects this month.
  • Next month: sticking to my fifteen focused minutes of writing per day goal.
  • I taught two classes this month: a revamped version of “Culinary Services” and my new class “Tarot Reading as a Service”. Thanks to everyone who came! (Couldn’t make it? The recordings—and more—have been updated!)
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching special versions of two of my classes: “Values Based Productivity for Leaders” and “Anticipatory Leadership” at Leather Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia!   • Have been doing some fun learning and reading. Finished the “Read Tarot With Confidence” course by BiddyTarot and enjoyed some MasterClass courses. I’ve been diving into the Locked Tomb series by Tamsyn Muir and am in the middle of several other great books.
  • Spent another afternoon at the beautiful Wetlands Park and also spent an evening experiencing some live music in Los Angeles! Also made it back to the Erotic Heritage Museum locally.
  • Had a lovely Valentine’s Day and got to spend some great time with family and friends throughout February.

Newsletter 1/31/24

Slightly belatedly, let’s talk about January! A mixed bag of a start to 2024, I did spend a lot of this month ill, but when I wasn’t:

  • I taught two classes this month: “Contract Systems” and “Productivity for Service”. I also spoke alongside Joshua Tenpenny about service at the inaugural meeting of the international group M/s 301 – The Deeper Side. Thanks to everyone who came, and special thanks to the M/s 301 team!
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching “Culinary Services” (revamped!) on 2/4 and “Tarot Reading as a Service” (new!) on 2/25. You’ll be able to find all the details here. See you there!

  • Back in my chess phase and have actually managed to win a few games.
  • Got the family a MasterClass subscription and have been learning a lot.
  • Planning lots of other exciting things coming up!

December—where did 2023 go?

  • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of fifteen focused minutes of writing per day. I posted almost 35,000 words on Archive of Our Own this month, including completing “Dreamforged”, an alternate universe companion story of the I’ll Give You series, and beginning We Are All That We Have Lost, a Contrivance prequel.

  • This month was the last month of my hiatus from teaching live classes to focus on other areas of my life.

November—wild month!

  • Writing wise: I won National Novel Writing Month by writing 54,002 words in November! I primarily worked on We Are All That We Have Lost, a Contrivance prequel (stay tuned), but I also posted some other updates. “When You Hit The End of the Leash” hit Kinky and Popular on FetLife!
  • Next month: I’ll be returning to my fifteen focused minutes of writing per day goal.
  • This month, I continued my hiatus from teaching live classes to focus on other areas of my life and my on demand content. The 2024 teaching calendar is shaping up, and now I can officially announce that I’ll be teaching two classes for Leather Leadership Conference in Atlanta this coming March!
  • Next month is the last month of my hiatus. Stay tuned for my January 2024 classes.
  • We had two Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!

  • All of the usual/continued from last month. It’s still a big time for me medically, which is where a lot of my focus has been.
  • Relatedly, I got genetic testing done and learned a lot about myself!
  • Spent some great time with family and friends.
  • Including: several loved ones had birthdays, including my wife. Also went to some fun events.
  • Did a lot of work on house cleaning, repairs, and renovations.
  • Did some yummy baking.
  • Read some great books. My brain is still occupied by The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.
  • It’s officially NaNoWriMo prep season! Went to the LGBTQ+ writers meetup by NaNo HQ and have been prepping for November as a writer and local volunteer.

August—where’d it go? But, a much needed quieter month for sure.

  • Writing wise, I… largely stuck to my goal of writing for at least fifteen focused minutes daily. (About 80% done.) I did a lot of experimental work and didn’t post much, but there are a few things just waiting to be typed/edited/posted.
  • Next month, I’m keeping my goal the same and will probably get to that posting.
  • This month, I started my hiatus from teaching live classes to focus on other areas of my life and my on demand content.
  • Next month, the hiatus continues. Stay tuned for more about the on demand side of things.
  • We had two Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches, both hosted by my lovely wife. Thanks to everyone who attended!

  • All of the usual/continued from last month. It’s still a big time for me medically, which is where a lot of my focus has been.
  • Did some extra aerial silks practice.
  • Played tourist in my own city a little more. Tried the FlyOver, which was neat!
  • Found some endorsements of me online, which is kind of surreal and I really appreciate.
  • Completed a certificate course on psychedelic tripsitting! It was super interesting and I think has broader applications in the spirituality/mental health/alternative sexuality arenas.
  • Made it out to a few fun events.
  • Consumed some great media. Shoutout to Turn Your Pain Into Art by Ariel Bloomer, Dirty Laundry: Why Adults With ADHD Are So Ashamed And What We Can Do To Help by Richard Pink and Roxanne Emery, and The Appetite podcast.
  • I am getting involved with the National Novel Writing Month community as a local volunteer again!
  • Did some crafting and have been converted to the way of the fountain pen.
