October: what a month!
- Writing wise, I originally set out to write for one hour per day. I updated my goal mid-month to posting 20,000 words total in October across Our Secrets and Our Silence and What We’ve Almost Remembered, to better align with my goal of publishing both before the end of the year. I stuck to this goal, posting over 21,000 words.
- In November, my goal is to post ~25,000 words across those series. Keep up with my progress on TrackBear!
- I hosted one Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) event this month: one of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- In November, I’ll be hosting one of our usual munches on the 17th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.
- For the Neon Cactus Wordsmiths, I hosted three Discord write-ins this month, as well as our monthly social at my place. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- In November, I’ll be hosting two Discord write-ins on the 12th and 26th, as well as our social on the 21st. If you happen to be a Las Vegas based writer, join us for those and more.

- I read some amazing books in October, including The Power of Ritual by Casper Ter Kuile, Disney High by Ashley Spencer, and We Love You, Bunny by Mona Awad. My goal is to spend at least fifteen minutes learning/reading every day. Keep up with my reading on StoryGraph!
- I’ve been thrilled to continue my work on the Leather Leadership Conference Board of Directors, including becoming our new Vending Chair. Please join us in Los Angeles in February 2026!
- This month, I loved attending Las Vegas Book Festival and No Kings, as well as seeing Stereophonic at the Smith Center. And I’m writing this from the Neon Cactus Wordsmiths’ midnight November writing kickoff!
- October gratitude: so much time with family and friends, warm cuddles from my cats, and the whole spooky season!
