September: strange month, but lots of good stuff going on!
- Writing wise, I set out to write for one hour per day (with an exception for travel days). I largely stuck to this goal, although I took the equivalent of two days off due to illness. I posted updates for Our Secrets and Our Silence (It All Became So Violent), as well as a blog post: “Autonomy in Anticipatory Service”. I posted almost 13,000 words across my projects this month.
- Next month, I’m keeping my goal the same. Keep up with my progress on TrackBear!
- I hosted one Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) event this month: one of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- In October, I’ll be hosting one of our usual munches on the 20th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.
- For the Neon Cactus Wordsmiths, I hosted two Discord write-ins this month, as well as our monthly social at my place. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- In October, I’ll be hosting three Discord write-ins on the 1st, 15th, and 29th, as well as our social on the 17th. If you happen to be a Las Vegas based writer, join us for those and more.
Other updates from this month:
- Here are some of my favorite photos from this month.
- I read some great books in September. My favorite was The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker. My goal is to spend at least fifteen minutes learning/reading every day. Keep up with my reading on StoryGraph!
- I’ve been thrilled to continue my work on the Leather Leadership Conference Board of Directors. Please join us in Los Angeles in February 2026!
- I also got to celebrate my wonderful wife’s birthday with her!
- September gratitude: beautiful fall weather, my local libraries, and my amazing readers!
Thanks for everything this month; have a happy, healthy, safe, and spooky October!
