April: another big month for me!
- Writing wise, I stuck to my general goal of at least fifteen focused minutes of writing per day. I also posted over 30,000 words of fiction this month. Including: new Contrivance companions “How Rissa Became a Deviser” and “How Rissa and Ritter Fell in Love the Only Time“, as well as updates for the Contrivance sequel and the third book in the I’ll Give You trilogy. I also completed posting and published my ninth book: We Are All That We Have Lost, a Contrivance prequel.
- Next month: sticking to my fifteen focused minutes of writing per day goal.
- I taught two classes this month: “How to Learn Protocols” for House Exeter and “The Butler Book and Beyond”. I was also on two panels at THRIVE. Thank you to everyone who attended, and to House Exeter and the Pragmatic Kink/THRIVE team as always!
- Next month, I’ll be teaching “Productivity for Service” for House Exeter on 5/13, and “Schizophrenia in the Scene” on 5/18. Both of these events are free and virtual. You can find all the details here. See you there!
- We had two Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- Next month, there will be two of our usual munches on the 6th and 20th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area. In collaboration with VegasToolbox, we’ll also be featuring three special classes by two special presenters—CharlieDoll on 5/10, and DevynStone on 5/24 and 5/25.
- For the Neon Cactus Wordsmiths, I hosted two Discord write-ins and two in-person write-ins this month. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- Next month, I’ll be hosting three more Discord write-ins on the 1st, 15th, and 29th. If you happen to be a Las Vegas based writer, join us for those and more here.
Other updates from this month:
- Took a productive and fun solo writing retreat/staycation at the Luxor.
- Read some lovely books. My favorite was An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison.
Thanks for everything this month; have a happy, healthy, and safe May!
