Newsletter 12/31/23

December—where did 2023 go?

  • Writing wise, I stuck to my goal of fifteen focused minutes of writing per day. I posted almost 35,000 words on Archive of Our Own this month, including completing “Dreamforged”, an alternate universe companion story of the I’ll Give You series, and beginning We Are All That We Have Lost, a Contrivance prequel.
  • Next month: sticking to my fifteen focused minutes of writing per day goal.
  • This month was the last month of my hiatus from teaching live classes to focus on other areas of my life.
  • Next month, I’ll be teaching “Contract Systems” on 1/21 and “Productivity for Service” on 1/28. Find the details here. See you there!
  • We had two Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches. Thanks to everyone who attended!
  • Next month, I’ll be hosting three of our usual munches on the 1st, 15th, and 29th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.
  • As a volunteer for the Las Vegas region of National Novel Writing Month, I hosted two official write-ins. Thanks to everyone who attended!
  • Next month, I’ll be hosting two more official write-ins. If you happen to be a local participant, found out more here.

Other updates from this month:

  • Had a great holiday season, including a trip out to California, and lots of good time with family and friends.
  • Made progress on the “Read Tarot With Confidence” course from Biddy Tarot.
  • Read some great books, including The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater and Swan Dive: The Making of a Rogue Ballerina by Georgina Pazcoguin.
  • Did some sewing, soap making, baking, and other assorted crafting.

Thanks for everything this month and in 2023; have a happy, healthy, and safe New Year’s!
