August—where’d it go? But, a much needed quieter month for sure.
- Writing wise, I… largely stuck to my goal of writing for at least fifteen focused minutes daily. (About 80% done.) I did a lot of experimental work and didn’t post much, but there are a few things just waiting to be typed/edited/posted.
- Next month, I’m keeping my goal the same and will probably get to that posting.
- This month, I started my hiatus from teaching live classes to focus on other areas of my life and my on demand content.
- Next month, the hiatus continues. Stay tuned for more about the on demand side of things.
- We had two Las Vegas TNG (The Next Generation) events this month: two of our usual munches, both hosted by my lovely wife. Thanks to everyone who attended!
- Next month, I’ll be hosting two of our usual munches on the 11th and 25th, if you happen to be 18-35 and local to the Vegas area.
Other updates from this month:
- All of the usual/continued from last month. It’s still a big time for me medically, which is where a lot of my focus has been.
- Did some extra aerial silks practice.
- Played tourist in my own city a little more. Tried the FlyOver, which was neat!
- Found some endorsements of me online, which is kind of surreal and I really appreciate.
- Completed a certificate course on psychedelic tripsitting! It was super interesting and I think has broader applications in the spirituality/mental health/alternative sexuality arenas.
- Made it out to a few fun events.
- Consumed some great media. Shoutout to Turn Your Pain Into Art by Ariel Bloomer, Dirty Laundry: Why Adults With ADHD Are So Ashamed And What We Can Do To Help by Richard Pink and Roxanne Emery, and The Appetite podcast.
- I am getting involved with the National Novel Writing Month community as a local volunteer again!
- Did some crafting and have been converted to the way of the fountain pen.
Thanks for everything this month; have a happy, healthy, and safe September!
